The Association of Commercial Television in Europe (ACT) is a trade body for the commercial broadcasting sector in Europe. Formed in 1989, the ACT has 27 member companies active in 37 European countries, operating and distributing several thousand free-to-air and pay-tv channels and new media services.

Mediaset joins forces to compete globally in the premium video advertising market

Mediaset Group (Italy and Spain), TF1 Group (France), and ProSiebenSat.1 (Germany) set up European Broadcaster Exchange (EBX), a joint venture to address the demand for brand-safe environments and high-quality pan-European video campaigns. The three EBX founding companies will make available video advertising inventories from their respective countries of origin in order to allow advertising customers to programmatically buy pan-European campaigns in the premium and brand-safe advertising environments of the TV companies.

TVN24 leads Top 25 Polish Thematic TV Channels in May

May 2017 television ratings in Poland show Scripps Networks Interactive’s TVN media group leading the way. The top network among Poland’s thematic stations was 24-hour news channel TVN24, with an average market share of 4.7 percent in the general audience group, reflecting a year-over-year increase of 20.4 percent, according to Nielsen Audience Measurement data.
