Commercial broadcasters organised a reception in the European Parliament to focus on advertising as part of the ongoing EU revision of the Audiovisual Media Services Directive. As the Directive has its roots in 1989, commercial broadcasters took this opportunity to ask the Parliament to ensure the proposed revision be future proof and ensure fair competition.
