The Association of Commercial Television in Europe (ACT) is a trade body for the commercial broadcasting sector in Europe. Formed in 1989, the ACT has 27 member companies active in 37 European countries, operating and distributing several thousand free-to-air and pay-tv channels and new media services.

Mediaset reached an agreement to distribute its channels on satellite

 

Mediaset’s strategy to bring its channels on all free and pay platforms - digital terrestrial, satellite and online streaming – continues to progress as Mediaset’s FTA channels will be distributed on the satellite platform in Italy. On 14 September 2018, the 18 representatives of all RTL Children's Homes met at Mediengruppe RTL Deutschland for the third symposium of RTL Children's Homes, organised by ‘Stiftung RTL – Wir helfen Kindern’ (Foundation RTL – We Help Children). Sky is partnering with Common Sense Media to introduce a detailed rating system that will help parents make smarter choices about what their children watch on Sky. The new service will launch in the UK in 2019. The service, which will be available on Sky Q, will include in-depth information on the prevalence of specific types of content. This includes the educational value of the show, positive messages, and use of positive role models.
